Why a print gets cropped
A 3:2 photo does not fill a 5:4 print without a choice. You can crop part of the photo, leave empty space around it, or distort it. Cropping or empty space is normally preferable to stretching faces and objects.
Crop or fit
The square crop cuts off the side labels and part of the sun. Fit keeps the whole picture and adds white space above and below.
